The proprietors of IronBark Hill Vineyard are Peter & Leesa Drayton, and Michael & Julie Dillon.
Peter is a 5th Generation Drayton from the Hunter’s famous winemaking family and although primarily involved in the Building and Construction industry, has tremendous passion for the Hunter region and its wines. Together with his wife Leesa, Peter is actively involved in the marketing and day to day administration of IronBark Hill.
Michael is a registered Chartered Accountant, and has forged the successful Accountancy firm Dillon & Elbourn. Michael comes from a family with an extensive farming background, originally owning a piggery in Hillsborough, followed by a dairy farm and grazing property at Denman. Despite his credentials as a Chartered Accountant his heritage has given him a love for the land and great empathy for farmers of all persuasions as they battle droughts, floods and governments! Michael’s wife Julie is also actively involved in IronBark Hill business.
IronBark Hill Vineyard prides itself on being a real family affair. The Drayton children Andrew, Ashlee and Natalie, and the Dillon siblings Alison and James, all have a keen interest in the business working together at the Cellar Door, organising functions and keeping the website up to date.
Michael, Julie, Peter and Leesa have been great friends for almost 20 years, and it is this friendship along with their pride in the Hunter that sets IronBark Hill Vineyard apart.
